I once read a powerful book, where the author exclaimed, “No One is Self-Made”. The author then proceeded to list off some of the most popular, successful, entrepreneurs, forward thinkers and titans on industry to solidify his reasoning that everyone, needs someone. This same author went on to say that there is no such thing as “multi-tasking” and that the seemingly best multi taskers are actually prioritizing efficiently. I couldn’t stop thinking about this as it was constantly on my mind. It took me almost two years before I could wrap my head around the philosophies enough to come up the idea for Built Right Bodies.
I’ve always loved fitness and been drawn towards the lifestyle. I like the structure it demands-- everything from prepping your meals to eating them on time, training for a fixed amount of time based of your goals and physical and hormonal capabilities, and probably the most exciting part which is knowing that the pain and suffering you feel now will be your success tomorrow. It’s almost a freeing feeling, hurting, “so good”. I was an overweight child and once I started working out and eating right, I never looked back. This “life style” was mine, forever. I got a personal training certification and became a nutrition coach. My clientele were successful, but I lived in a small area that was not enough to sustain such as a career. I ended up in another career path, but fitness always remained my passion. Last year I was fortunate enough to become a member of a prestigious health and fitness council. I made a lot of great contacts and learned from an amazing community. My demanding career did not leave me enough time to contribute actively, so I have since removed myself from the council. From that time to now, I moved my life from upstate N.Y. to Jacksonville, Florida. When I arrived in the area, I saw this tremendously different way of life. I consistently see people helping each other, waving (even when they don’t know one another!), and everyone is always smiling; all of these things drive me to want to be better and start making a difference in life. Therefore, it inspired me to think about how I could enrich people’s lives and do it with something I’m knowledgeable and passionate about.
I had the passion and I had the mission to help people with their fitness needs, but I didn’t have a direction. I thought about it for a while, and one day while I was cleaning my apartment I came across the book I mentioned: the one which those two great business philosophies I am so obsessed with are described. That’s when it hit me-- I’ll create a platform to allow people to reach experts for vital information involving their fitness, dietary, health, style and other needs attributed to the fitness world, which would allow me to cover both philosophies simultaneously. I would network with other businesses that offered expertise that I could not, and I would allow people to prioritize their needs by allowing them to reach out to us and together, we could discuss what was needed to meet their goals. Thus, the birth of Built Right Bodies was born. Currently, my team is working on creating as many great relationships with surrounding businesses and people in the area as we can in order to generate as much information and opportunity for our subscribers. The fitness community is no longer about lifting heavy weights and keeping to the “dungeon”--- it’s become its own culture with men and women taking to fitness in a much larger capacity than ever. Men and women are being recognized as “fitness enthusiasts” and are making a living helping others. The emergence of new names are closely compared to their famous predecessors, like Colum Von Mogur and Arnold Schwarzenegger. This era is an amazingly exciting time for the fitness industry and we at Built Right Bodies want to highlight said culture. It’s not just working out. It’s diets, meal planning, hair, makeup, skin care, fashion, traveling, and rest and relaxation. The fit lifestyle can be for anyone… as long as they are willing to work for it because as the saying goes, “anything worth having, is worth working for”.
I want the Built Right Bodies name to speak for itself: men and women with physiques that are promoted by a happy, healthy, fit lifestyle. As well as a team built with the right people to create as many opportunities as we can for our subscribers. Please visit us at https://www.builtrightbodies.com and support our goal to help as many people as we can. Linked on our website are our social media outlets where we share our teams’ lives and show others how the “fit” lifestyle can be theirs too. Thank you for reading and as always, keep working hard.
